Mike Harbour has been an accomplished show lamb and show goat producer for over 30 years. Growing up in Southern New Mexico, Mike moved to Texas following high school graduation to pursue a college degree in Animal Science and compete on the Collegiate Livestock Judging Team. Following completion of his master’s degree, he spent 7-1/2 years with the Texas Agriculture Extension Service as a County Extension Agent. While there, his primary educational responsibilities included production agriculture and junior livestock projects.

Mike was instrumental in boosting the popularity of Boer goats here in the U.S. His first buck was given to him because it was lame but it became one of the best bucks he's ever had and it built the foundation of his heard. Many goat producers' herds date back to Harbour Livestock.
